WORK EXPERIENCE RELATED TO WATER RESOURCES
- U.S. Geological Survey
During his 30-year tenure at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Gary lead projects that (1) mapped groundwater aquifer systems similar to the LAKEWOOD WATER DISTRICT, which pumps water from wells penetrating a glacial aquifer system, (2) delineated the water-capture zone of pumping water supply wells, and (3) sampled and analyzed ground water quality and contamination. Gary has characterized water quality at some of our nation’s worst contamination sites. Since retiring from the USGS, Gary volunteers his time to support USGS’s water resource activities.
